About Coach LB

Coach LB was a star athlete in high school and met her husband when she was just 5 years old. Right after high school, they got pregnant with their first child, and everyone kept telling Coach LB, "Oh you're young, the weight will just fall right off... but after she had her first child, it didn’t. Before she knew it, she was pregnant two more times, and the weight gain was even more significant. With two little ones running around and later attending various sports programs, Coach LB didn’t prioritize herself and slowly began drinking more, resulting in additional weight gain. One day, while trying on swimsuits for summer, she took a picture that became the turning point for her. She didn’t even recognize herself anymore. Coach LB kicked it into gear, enrolled in a 90-day fitness program, and lost an astonishing 40 pounds in just 4 months. She started prioritizing herself and focusing on nutrition coaching, ensuring she could be there for her kids. Following that, Coach LB became a surrogate, helping a couple have a baby, which turned out to be her toughest pregnancy. She gained more weight than both her kids combined and topped out at 200 pounds. Facing complications with preeclampsia and post-eclampsia, she couldn’t get back in shape right away, but she didn’t give up. It took about a year for Coach LB to fully recover and lose 60 pounds, ultimately getting back to herself. However, life took over again, and she began losing focus. What started as one day of bad habits turned into two, then a week, a month, and before she knew it, Coach LB was up 35 pounds again in roughly five months. Once again, she looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize herself. It was as if she was in denial about gaining weight and its impact on her happiness. Wanting to understand the science behind her weight cycling habits and why she struggled to keep the weight off, Coach LB decided to become a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer. She aimed to learn the science behind effective weight management—why certain strategies work, why macros and exercising matter, and how to navigate plateaus while keeping the weight off. Not only did Coach LB lose the weight a third time, but she also applied her knowledge to help her husband, who lost 40 pounds in about 5 months. He was able to discontinue medications for high cholesterol and high blood pressure by getting his weight under control and hitting all the necessary macros, nutrients, and minerals. Now, Coach LB's kids participate in food prep with her, learning healthy habits early, so they won’t struggle later in life. Coach LB and her husband are now the active parents they always wanted to be. It was during this journey that Coach LB realized her passion and ability to change lives through the knowledge she had gained, having mastered the weight loss process after experiencing it herself three times. Over five years have passed since Coach LB embarked on her final weight loss journey, prioritizing herself first to be there for her kids and family. Today, her family is the happiest it has ever been. Coach LB truly believes that once we start taking care of ourselves, everyone around us begins to notice, and our entire lives change.
